oi pessoal,

hoje ia postar um email que troquei com minha host, mas deixa pra lah... ele fala sobre o fato de hoje eu ter deixado minha host sem gas no meu carro, porque eu sempre pego o carro sem gas e como usei soh para ir na casa de duas amigas aqui de silver spring, nao coloquei e ponto final, afinal era o deal se eu ficasse around eu nao precisaria colocar gasolina. mas como ela ficou sem total gasolina, as 9am recebi uma msg no celular falando para eu nunca deixar o carro sem gasolina as segundas-feiras e que ela chegaria atrasada no trabalho por isso. ai eu pedi desculpas e disse que mal tinha usado o meu au pair car... que ironia... aproveitei mandei um email perguntando como fica o carro e o gas, duvidas que eu tinha. descobri que se eu rodar mais de 20 miles no dia, tenho que abastece-lo, ou seja, pra ir ate a igreja eu jah tenho que abastecer (tah, eu nao vou a igreja). nossa, soh comprovei o fato dela ser mao-de-vaca. mas agora que perguntei sei bem o que tenho que fazer e nao vou mais ficar nervosa.

acontece que carro eh privilegio, nao direito. conheco meninas que tem free gas e podem ir pra qualquer lugar, no meu caso ganhei um carro velho ha pouco tempo e tenho hosts mao-de-vaca totais, ai o gas tem que ser por minha conta, soh posso andar por aqui, mas agora ela mesmo falou que nao vai deixar o carro na reserva tambem... pelo menos isso.

por isso, jah que tenho parte das manhas frees, vou tentar fazer tudo o que eu preciso porque ai uso o carro das kids... hahaha...

bem, abaixo seguem as perguntas que mandei hoje para minha counselor de uma situacao e duvidas que eu tinha. desculpem meus erros de ingles.

1) I know that the rule is no more than 10 hours per day and 45 hours perweek, but If my hostparents need me to work more per day or week I always help them, but now I`m not liking this anymore. How can I talk to them? Well, for example, they don`t need me in the morning, but they do a schedule that they use the 45 hours per week, even if I have to work more than 10 hours per dayand, if I work less than 45 hours - what is difficult to happen - then use the hours in the other week as extra without paying for it. Doing this once is one thing, but all the time it`s not fair. What do you recommend?

I would talk to your hostmother about it and let her know that you do not like working the extra - or the hostfather. Tell her you are afraid you get burnt out

2) If I`m not feeling good, like sick (I had gastrit - ulcer - these days ago and I felt much pain), and I stop to work earlier, do they can use the hours that I didn`t work in a other day?

The only hours they can use- 10hours a day- 45 hours a week

3) Do the hostparents have to help and pay for medication or doctor if Ineed?

Resposta:
No, you have a $200 deductable- which means you pay 200 and then insurancewill pay the rest including prescriptions

4) About food, if I want to eat something and I don`t have it in home, dothey have to buy or pay it for me? Do they have an amount per week to spend with food for me? I have a friend that told me that they have to spendaround $80 per week for the au pair.

Resposta:
The provide food- sometimes what happens is Host families are Veggies or Kosher and then those families typically get a food allowance- if there something you want ask for it.

5) I already used the $500 for studies, but I paid myself another Englishcourse. To go to this school, do they have to pay the transportation now?

6) About Driver`s License, I need now to get my because the second year, dothey have to pay for that? Is that a rule?
